Field Trip FAQs

  • We recommend planning for a 90-minute visit for your field trip. If you plan to stay longer please communicate via email your time frame- windyacresfarmstand@gmail.com
  • Upon arrival, we will greet the teacher in charge at the farm stand for check-in. Please have your total headcount at this time. We will then escort you up to our admissions area where we will give you all your wristbands and go over some safety rules. Once inside you are more than welcome to divide up into small groups and have fun exploring.
  • Chaperones must stay with their small group at all times.
  • Animal feed machines are available in the Barnyard Petting Zoo. We do sell quarters if needed.
  • Freshly made hot food options are available for purchase at our Bakery/Cafe. Some options include Vienna Beef Hotdogs, Loaded Nachos, Jumbo Soft Pretzels, Pizza, Popcorn, and more.
  • Apple Cider Donuts are sold daily in our Bakery/Cafe as well as hot apple cider, hot chocolate, coffee, and other beverages and treats.
  • We recommend dressing in layers as the fall mornings can be cool weather. Field trips occur rain or shine, so please dress accordingly; boots are recommended.
  • We recommend bringing plastic bags for each student to carry their pumpkin home in. We do not supply bags.
